Our CFO, Alan, reflects on our recent brand makeover:
2026 promises to be a pivotal year for Turner building on significant developments that happened in 2025, not least the successful sale of our high-performing aviation business.
It’s just one more evolution in a company that has, for more than a century, been building, supporting and growing private companies.
Our story began with engineering and industrial services. They remain an important part of our business. But we’re increasingly looking to opportunities emerging from the energy transition, the drive for sustainable business practices and advances in technology.
The companies we back today are innovating in ways that didn’t exist a decade ago, and our role as their partner has evolved too.
Because of that, we decided to present ourselves differently in the marketplace, underlining the significant shift taking place in our business and all around us.
A new visual identity
Our previous brand served us well and represents a history we are extremely proud of. We wanted a refresh that honoured that, while also conveying our new vision.
The enhanced brand identity introduces a modern colour palette, building on our heritage green while adding bold blues and a highlight yellow to create greater flexibility and vibrancy.
We’ve introduced Sora – a clean, contemporary typeface.
And throughout the new look is a motif in the form of a simple, versatile shape that represents the structure and stability we provide as partners to ambitious businesses. However, like the companies we support, it’s adaptable – equally at home in a boardroom presentation, a website or a social media post.
Finding the right words
Refreshing our brand wasn’t just about how we look, but also how we tell our story.
Our previous messaging focused heavily on our heritage, our engineering roots and our financial stability. While those things remain core to who we are, they also needed a refresh to reflect the energy and ambition of Turner today.
We’ve redefined our messaging so future partners clearly see we are outward-looking, entrepreneurial, and purpose-driven.
The result is a shared language that unites our team and the companies we work with. It helps us communicate clearly and consistently, whether we’re talking to future partners or current portfolio companies.
Why this matters
You can already see the brand and messaging in action on this new website, in our email signatures and elsewhere. It will become increasingly visible throughout the year ahead.
After all, a rebrand is not an end in itself. For us, it’s a statement of intent. It’s about showing who we are, what we stand for and why we do what we do.
These are exciting days for Turner and those we’ll be working with. We look forward to you being part of it.
